Home again again

Yesterday I flew out of Wichita mid day to come back home to Oregon for two weeks.

The night before, we went over to Emma and Becca's for Mediterranean food. It was delicious, and wonderful company.

We had hummus and pita, cucumber yogurt salad, tabbouleh, and grilled veggie kabobs. It was all fantastic. Afterwards we went back to our house and watched Bridesmaids. I love that movie.

Anyways, yesterday I made the adventure halfway across the country from Wichita to Salem.

Landon drove me to the airport around noon for my 1:01 flight. How nice of him. That first flight definitely goes on the more turbulent list of flights I've been on. Once I landed in Denver I found my next gate, only to discover that my flight to Portland had been delayed an hour. So I sat there for a while fighting with the internet, until they switched the gate of our flight, so I trudged to the other end of the terminal with my huge backpack and "personal item" backpack riding in front. I probably looked somewhat hilarious considering in total all my luggage was probably bigger than me. Along the way I picked up an Orange Carrot Karma from Jamba Juice (which I hadn't had in quite some time. It was delicious) and a cranberry nut muffin and sat down to munching at my new gate while reading Girl With The Dragon Tattoo
We finally boarded over an hour after we were going to originally while listening to people complaining about how they should give us free food if its over a half hour delay. It really wasn't too terrible.
Once into Portland it was an hour drive to my house. Once home I sat down for taco salad with my parents.  It's good to be home.

My parents have slowly been remodeling our house, so it's fun to come home and see all the little things that have changed.

The front yard.

For example, I think my mom has done something different to our bathroom counter every time I've come home. I think it's awesome :)

Backyard! So much green, I love it.

Its fun to rediscover all the clothes that my sister Audrey and I had left at home. They're a lot more exciting when you haven't seen them in six months. I went out to lunch with two of my best friends at Napoleons in downtown Salem, it's a sort of french restaurant crepe place.

Ariella got some fancy hot dog.

I got an Orange & Date Salad, and of course, some coffee.

Bry got off of work really early and came and joined us, so while she was eating her Salmon Crepe, Ariella and I shared a Bananas Foster Crepe. It was all delicious. I finally got to go to Goodwill then afterwards. I'd missed Goodwill while in Kansas- Oregon has such good ones.

Its good to be home. I leave on miniterm to go backpacking for a week tomorrow, so I'll be a little absent :)
