Why am I starting this blog? Because I want a project for the summer? Because I want something to do with my excessive amounts of free time that doesn't require the spending of all the money I need to be saving? Yes, those are all basically the reasons.
That, and I've been inspired by my darling roommate, Leah. She's going blog crazy this summer.
A quick summary of my life thus far:
I'm living in a basement apartment with two lovely ladies.
I'm a barista at the coffee shop at my college, that's where I'm working this summer.
So far my summer has consisted of the following:
cooking
kitten
friends
cooking
more kitten
It has been a good time indeed.
Quick, some more specific events of this summer
We made delicious salad from this recipe (found courtesy of Pinterest)
We went the sand pit and paddled around a bit
We also have a kitten.. Her name is Delores and she is the most adorable thing I've ever lived with.
This is my boyfriend, Landon, and Delores. I'm dying.
This is our household for the summer, complete with Delores. (Leah, Delores, Sara, Me)
Needless to say, I have spent a lot of time with Delores so far. I never had pets growing up really, (aside from chickens and the guinea pigs that I always forgot to feed) so this is a totally new experience for me. I'd say I'm adjusting quite fine though :)
Anyways, I'm anticipating using this blog in many ways, as an updater on the many "exciting" events in my life, and most likely you will be seeing some recipes. As a fair warning, I love cooking and consequently taking pictures of all my food.
